I ordered this belt today and got it this evening and couldn’t wait to put it on to take the dogs for a walk. I have a 50 pound husky and a 50 pound border collie. The border collie doesn’t really pull but the husky who is only 20 months old has a ton of pulling strength. I’ve tried multiple belts with her and she is pulled through the stitchings, bent the D rings and ripped off other D rings. When I pulled this out of the packaging, the first thing I looked at were the rings that the leash is attached to. They are thick, solid piece round rings that are unwelded and not pinched together like many D rings. That was enough to really get me excited, but then I examined the stitching, which seems to be very durable and strong. The material itself also seems to be very strong, almost as if this belt was made specifically for urban Huskies…As it was starting to get dark, I knew I wouldn’t be able to take them on a long walk, but I live in a neighborhood that has a lot of bunnies, squirrels, and cats. At dusk, the likelihood of running across some of these little animals was very likely and sure enough, just steps from my house, a bunny took us all by surprise. As expected, the Husky went berserk, and started jerking her way towards the bunny that was trying to run away. The border collie also tried chasing after the bunny, however, having the elastic at the waist to help absorb the shock, as well as having both animals on accordion leashes, I was able to hold my ground, not lose my footing, and keep the dogs in place. Our walk was short and multiple bunnies did cross our paths but for each one I was able to keep control of both dogs without hurting myself or my back. Just after this short walk I really can’t wait to get them out on a hike where the husky has caused me multiple scrapes and bruises in her excitement.I do agree with others about using carabiners for holding anything that you want to attach to the belt. I’m not a huge fan of the water bowl or where it’s located as when I walk it likes to bounce against my backside however, the pocket for the phone or treats is a great size and fits my iPhone 13 with the case perfectly the only thing I would add to this belt would be loops that I can attach carabiners to to carry whatever else I need to carry, however, the belt is flexible enough to add multiple hooks to, and can be worn low on the hips for added stability and attachments.Edit: Six months later and this belt is still fantastic! Stitching and rings are still good as new. No fraying, nothing bent or chipped.
